"This do features an open chest area so as not to hinder the wearer's well—developed muscles. The Nanban—style abdominal region of the do is adorned with the Oda family crest. The arm portions differ between left and right, with the left shoulder sporting a large iron top sleeve. This armour was used by the Obsidian Samurai, the samurai of African origin who served under Oda Nobunaga. The Obsidian Samurai arrived in Japan as a servant of an Italian missionary.
