The Tower of London is an imposing fortress built by King William the 1st in order to keep London safe. It has since gone on to be used as a prison for traitors and execution grounds for criminals. Londoners believe that if the many crows living within its walls were to abandon it, the tower would collapse and London itself would be destroyed.

The Man with the Guardian Spirit Walkthrough

A full walkthrough including all the items, enemies and bosses goes here. Click here to go to the Speedrun Walkthrough.

You'll begin stripped down in a cell. The door will be predictably locked. Follow the spirit and the tutorial to break through the wall and search the corpse for a tutorial on Dashing. Exit the open door here and take a right to a room with a chest with a Bastard Sword and Tower of London Guard: Boots in it, use the sword to take out the Soldier, he'll drop a Dungeon Key. You can use this key to exit the dungeon and enter the cells one of the cells containing a tutorial on Guarding and Evasion.

As you leave the dungeon, to your right you will find a small chest with Medicine x1. Proceed forward to the room with spiral stairs. Before going up, look to the right to find a chest with Tower of London Guard: Coat. Equip what you need and take the spiral stairs up.

At the top you will see a Soldier towards the middle of the corridor. Take him out and move on to face a Crossbowman. Dodge/block his bolts and take him out. He will draw a sword when you're in closer range. Defeat him and step through the doorway and head right to find two Soldiers. Take them out and loot the chest here for Medicine and Tower of London Guard: Trousers.

Step through the hole in the wall in the next room and go up the spiral stairs. Follow the spirit to the Shrine, which will act as your checkpoint for the level. Next to the locked double doors in the room there is a chest that contains a Runkah.

The double doors in here won't open from this side. In the adjacent room there are two Soldiers and a large chest you can also loot for a Battle Axe and Medicine, you can take them out now, never, or later in the level when you'll get an opportunity to Drop Attack one of them. Head back to the room with the shut double doors and head through the other doorway and take the spiral stairs up. Enter the room on the left to loot a chest for Medicine. Continue ahead and head right.

The closed door on your right will prompt you to Look, don't look and instead take out the Soldier in the next room, because he'll spot you and surprise attack you as you're listening, you can go back to the door and listen without getting interrupted obtaining an Amrita Memory (The Black Tower). On the other side of the room opposite the locked door you can open a chest with a Tower of London Guard: Hat.

Proceed into the next room with that previously killed Soldier and take a right for another chest behind some crates containing a Tower of London Guards: Gloves, now take the spiral stairs down, enter the room to the right with a Soldier in it, in this room you can unlock those double doors from the room with the shrine opening a shortcut.

Now head back and down the spiral staircase. At the bottom of the spiral staircase as you exit look to the right to find a chest with some loot in it. Head forward and past the door leading outside and go to a room with three Soldiers and a small chest and a large chest.

Turn back and out of the room going to the door leading outside. Near the bottom of the stairs you'll see some Birds, you can hit these with projectiles and they'll drop items, currently the only thing you can hit them with is Stones. Go down the steps here to the ground and take out the Soldier ahead by the wagon. If you take the path to the right at the stairs you'll find two Soldiers and a small chest. Underneath the stairs is another small chest.

If you take the left path at the bottom of the stairs you'll continue down the large stone steps and face another Soldier. The door in the middle of these stairs leads to a room with two Armed Guards, they have a bunch of health and a bunch of ki. If you hug the left wall in that room you'll find a small chest and be able to open it without alerting them.

Instead of entering that door on the stone steps, head to the bottom and there'll be a small chest in the left corner. Proceed into the doorway and corridor ahead and take out the Soldier. In the next courtyard will be yet another Soldier. Kill him and in the far right corner you can search the corpse for memories and items.

To the right of this room you'll see another room with an Armed Guard and a Soldier and Crossbowman off to the left, you don't need to go down there but doing so will net you most of the Knight's Armor Set. If you want it you can aggro the Armed Guard by chucking a Stone at him without alerting the others, Armed Guards rarely swing twice, so bait out an attack and punish them with a full combo before dodging out of range to avoid getting attacked, at the top of the stairs in this room is another small chest with a Breastplate in it, in the next room there'll be two Armed Guards, in this room there'll be two large chests that'll contain pieces of the Knight's Armor Set.

Instead of going into that room with the Armed Guard go up the stairs in the courtyard and enter the door to the left. The room inside contains a Shrine the double doors can be opened up back to a previous room. Going to the basement here will net you two Amrita Memories. Take the staircase in the shrine room up into a room with an Armed Guard and a Crossbowman. Dispatch both and loot the small chest here. Or take the stairs up for an opportunity to Drop Attack the Crossbowman. If you take the stairs up you'll be on a roof with a large chest and a corpse to loot.

Head through the doorway and across to the next spiral stairs and take them up. The spirit will guide you outside. You will now face the first boss of the game, Derrick the Executioner. Defeat him to trigger a series of cutscenes and begin the game's first Mission, Isle of Demons.

Exit the open door here and go and loot the chest to the room to the left as you exit the cell, equip the Bastard Sword and use it to kill the Soldier. As you leave the dungeon, proceed forward to the room with spiral stairs.

Step through the hole in the wall in the next room and go up the spiral stairs. If you follow the spirit it will lead you to a Shrine, which will act as your checkpoint for the level. Lore Notes:

  1. From the time of its creation, the Tower of London has served as both home for Britain's rulers and execution for its criminals.

in more recent times it has also become inhabited by large number of ravens, ever since it became prohibited to kill them within the Tower. The reason: a certain wizard proclaiming that the killing of crows and ravens would lead to the destruction of england itself.

Now, every inch of the Tower is riddled with the birds, giving the entire area an eerie, unsettling air.
  2. The citizens have little in the way of leisure activities. Their greatest entertainment takes the form of public executions of criminals.

Whether young or old, rich or poor, not a soul in England would spare mercy for those held captive in the Tower of London.

With a great hock of meat in one hand and a mug of ale in the other, they would cheer ecstatically when a criminal met his bloody end.
