Snowclope is an Enemy in Nioh. Introduced with DLC Dragon of the North

Enemy Description

"Pronounced "yoo-key nyoo-doh" in Japanese. The snowclopes are one-eyed yokai that leave behind bizarre tracks in the snow--a trail of single footprints that ends abruptly. Snowclops are also believed to possess the ability to control the snow and ice, although not to the level of a Yuki-onna.

The snowclops serving the Date empathize with Shigezane, who gave up his humanity in service of Masamune, and although the snowclops themselves were once human, the power of the spirit stones has distorted their appearance into its demon-like form. It is believed that this transformation came about in response to the heavy Tohoku snow, which served to hinder Masamune's ambition. Normally, wars cannot be fought during winter in regions with such heavy snowfall, but the snowclop's power increases in the snow, enabling them to inflict heavy losses upon the Date's opponents who let down their guard due to the adverse weather conditions."

Combat Information

• Blocking is not effective since the snowclops blows can drain ki quickly. It is better to stay behind it and slash away.
