The Demon of Mount Hiei Walkthrough

When the mission begins go straight ahead to the Shrine. Head left and destroy the black crystal and then go right up the stairs to find 2 dweller enemies over a corpse. Kill them and loot the corpse for ??. Loot the small chest to it's right for Arrow x3 and Rifle Ammunition x1.

Head down the stone steps and take a right. Hug the stone wall left and head up the steps to find a Dweller and a corpse with Whetstone x1. Behind the tree here you will find a Kodama. Head back down the steps and destroy the crystal cluster to your left and head left to find a corpse with Signpost Talisman x1. You can head inside the hut here to find a ladder you can take down. Head down the hall and open the door on the right to find a small chest with Spirit Iron Fragment x2 and Spirit Stone x1.

Exit the room and open the cell across to find a corpse with Hamaya Arrow x1. Exit the cell and head left and enter the cell straight. Defeat the dweller and loot the corpse here for Kayaku-dama x1. Exit this cell and head right. Defeat the enemy ahead and enter the cell to the right. Loot the corpse here for Sacred Water x1.

Exit the cell and head right to continue down the tunnel. At the junction, you'll encounter a dweller to the right. Defeat and loot the corpse here for Spirit Stone x1. Take the T junction left and defeat the enemy who rises here. Continue on and on your left open the door to come to an open chamber.

In this room you'll find a group of worshippers around a central structure. They cast ranged magic so you'll want to take them out one by one. Defeat them and loot the corpse in here for Water Amulet x1. Destroy the magical construct in the center.

Exit this chamer the way came and head to the opposite path where you'll come to a ladder you can take up into a house. Loot the small chest here and open the door to come back to the area before the house. You'll find things have changed some.

Head to the right of the house ahed to come to a clearing with another house. Hug the wall to the right to go behind the house and around the back to a path where you will find a Kodama. Return back to the nearby structure and you will find an enemy feigning dead at the top of a short set of steps. Take it out and circle around the house to find a corpse with Salt x4.

Opposite of the steps you will find a path leading up. Take it to find a dweller and to the right a corpse with a Water Amulet x1. Beyond it to the right is another black crystal to destroy. Head right past this crystal to loot a corpse for Antidote x1 and find a Shrine nearby.

Head down the steps and go right. You'll come to an area with a 2 story structure and a yokai shadow mist ahead. Head right up the stairs to the second level and head around the level to find a dweller just above the shadow realm. Defeat it and cross to the other structure, head left to find a corpse with Moment Talisman x1. Around the corner to the right you'll find an enemy in waiting. Defeat it and enter the house to find a spear wielding enemy. Loot the corpse in here for Foreigner's Do and Uchiko Powder x1. Exit and defeat the dweller and you can drop down here to the ground if you'd like. To the right you will find a corpse with Whetstone x1. You can keep going or you can backtrack if you are up for challenging the shadow yokai, a cyclops who packs a mean punch. There is a corpse near it you can loot for Young Ninja's Locks x1.

Proceed down the steps ahead and you will come to an area with a fiend yokai to the left and one of the tongue yokai straight ahead who is guarding a large crystal. Good idea to split them up here, luring one towards you with something ranged. To the right of the bottom of the steps you can destroy a black crystal. Behind the tongue yokai there is a house and up the steps you can loot a corpse for Signpost Talisman x1 and Salt x1.

Head back down the steps and go right to find a hut with a ladder you can take down. Loot the corpse at the bottom for Rifle Ammunition x3. Proceed down the tunnel to find a shadow realm straight ahead. Beyond it you can find a room to the left with a corpse you can loot for Sakai Rifle and Roaring-Gun Ammunition x4.

Head back down the way you came and go right to open the double doors to the next area. You will find a yokai fiend with crystals and an axe patrolling another central crystal structure. Defeat it and destroy the crystals. Before you leave find a Kodama under one of the bookcases by the entrance. 

Exit the room and stay straight and slightly left up the tunnel. You'll find an enemy on the right. Continue on to find an corpse on the left with ??. Proceed ahead to come to a room with 2 more enemies, one of which is an archer. Defeat them and in the cell on the left you will find a yokai standing over a corpse. Defeat it and exit the room to the left up the path to come back to the surface and a Shrine. Just around the wall on your left you will fiind a Kodama. Proceed through the high doorway and stay to the left to take a grassy path to find a Kodama at the end. Keep following this path to the left and head to go down some steps and you'll see a house on the left. An enemy will attack you from just inside the doorway when you enter. Defeat it and loot the large chest here.

Exit the house and return to the main area with the large yellow crystal. Head to its right to find a dweller and beyond it a hut with a small chest you can loot. Exit the hut and head right to find an enemy and a corpse in the corner with Frontline Warrior's Armor Suneate.

Make your way back to the Shrine in this area to get your bearings. From the shrine head straight out through the high doorway and head up the steps on the home and follow the narrow porch to the right around the corner. Drop down and proceed up the path. Take out the archer ahead and continue up, by the boxes look to their left to find a Kodama.

Continue up the path to come to a shaft with a ladder down. If you go to the left you will come face to face with Nue, who is a regular mob but just as tough. Take the ladder down and head down the tunnel. Defeat the enemy and you will come to an open door on the right. Defeat the worshippers inside (mind their ranged magic) and the yokai and destroy the crystal structure. 

Exit the room left and make your way back to the ladder and take it up. Make a left up the path to face a yokai and beyond it an axe wieding enemy. Continue to the top of the path and head left to go up some steps and come to a small graveyard on your left. Kill the enemy that stands up here. You will find a Kodama here and a corpse with Antidote x3.

Head up the long stairs and open the double doors to trigger a cutscene. You will now have to do battle with one of the Bosses of this mission.
