The One-Eyed Dragon's Castle Walkthrough

You will begin near the entrance to the castle. Activate the Shrine and proceed further. You will reach a closed gates (we will open it later) and some structure. Beware of a gunner on a second floor. Go around that structure, there's a watchtower with archer skeleton and Rokurokubi roaming around. Go ahead until you reach an open area with some big barrels, on the other side of that area are two gunners. Be careful, these barrels will explode if shot with firearm or fire weapon. If you can't take them with a range weapon, watch for the left side, there's a small passage behind a pile of boxes which will lead to these skeletons. This passage will also help you skip the fight with one of Namahage in the next area. Follow the path until you reach a house. In front of that house is Namahage and two human enemies. Enter the house, on the first floor there's a human warrior. Climb the ladder and kill a gunner, but be careful if you have fire weapon, powder keg is near that gunner. Behind you is a treasure chest. Exit a house and go up the hill. Turn right and either drop down or walk around and you will see a Yokai fog with Namahage. Kill it and open the gate, it is a shortcut we have seen in the beginning. Go back and approach a Namahage between two watchtowers. Beware of two enemies hiding near towers and one archer on the tower. After clearing the area proceed going uphill. Watch for the Snow Oni, he will throw a couple of boulders at you. Go further uphill through an archway. Take down an archer on the left and beware of ambush, behind the wall is Namahage. Keep going uphill and clear the enemies until you reach the next Shrine.

Activate the shrine and walk through an archway. Proceed through this area and walk through another archway. Watch for a gunner on the left, he will try to shoot a powder keg. Clear the area and enter a structure nearby, go upstairs. Beware of two ninjas hiding on the second floor. Walk to the next floor and prepare to fight a tough enemy - new type of ninja Yoki, with a cannon instead of a second sword. Clear the tower and exit, proceed through level until you reach another Shrine.

Activate the Shrine. Doors nearby are closed on the key. Go the right from the shrine and open the gates. Behind these gates is a powder keg and a gunner that will try to shoot the keg. Enter the tower nearby and clear it. Be careful, on the top floor is a ninja Yoki with a cannon. Exit the tower and walk thourgh nearby archway and turn left. Namahage and soldier with a cannon roaming nearby. Take them down and turn right, go uphill and deal with Raven Tengu. Behind him is a hot spring. Go back to the open area and go further until you reach a Snow Oni. To the right is a small lake with Rokurokubi. In front of the lake is an entrance to another tower. Clear it the same way you did before, then cross the bridge to another tower. Clearing all four towers wil earn you a trophy Conqueror of Aoba Castle. Go the small bridge you crossed before and find a ladder to climb down and go straight. You will come to a wide open area and meet the first boss of the mission - Katakura Shigenaga. Listening to his monologue will earn you a trophy Good Listener.

Boss Fight: Katakura Shigenaga

Defeat Katakura Shigenaga and pick up a Dragon Insignia Key to open closed gates you ran into earlier. Open the gate nearby and you will exit to the Shrine. Open the gate next to the Shrine and enter a courtyard. The door on the left is closed from behind, it will be your shortcut later. Stick to the right and eventually you will enter a house with Nurikabe inside (You will notice two cracks in a wall in form of his eyes). Behind Nurikabe is a hot spring. Exit the house and you will see large gates with dragons to the sides of it. But don't open them yet, proceed further until you reach a closed gates mentioned earlier to open a shortcut. Open the large gates with dragons to start a boss fight.
