Ame-no-mahitotsu's Axe Description

"This sizable axe was created by the deity Ame—no —mahitotsu when Amaterasu hid in a cave in the famous Japanese legend. The ferocious powers of fire reside within the axe blade, and a single blow is said to wield enough force to pulverize even the most maleficent of yokai. Ame—no—mahitotsu was a one—eyed god of ironwork and blacksmithing with close ties to fire and was also known as Amatsumara. In addition to axes, he is also said to have made sacred mirrors and legendary swords. The Inbeuji, who were responsible for ancient court rituals, are thought to have been his descendants."
