Ashikaga Yoshiteru is a Boss in Nioh. Ashikaga Yoshiteru is a shogun in Japanese history, known for his sword skills and obession of collecting famous swords.In Nioh, he is the boss of Dual Sword Mystic Art Mission.

Ashikaga Yoshiteru was the 13th shogun of the Kamakura shogunate. After learning swordsmanship and the secret Single Taichi technique from Tsukahara Bokuden, master of the Shinto school, Yoshiteru also became known as the ''Swordsman Shogun''. To revive the faltering Kamakura shogunate, he clashed with the Miyoshi clan over control of the central provinces, while at the same time attempting to make peace with daimyo around the country as the shogun, offering them the use of a character of his name to reinforce his authority. However, he met with betrayal at the hands of Matsunaga Hisahide and others and was surrounded at Nijogosho. There he fought valiantly but was ultimately overwhelmed. It is said that he fought with such ferocity, wielding swords that were treasures of the shogunal house in each hand, that he discovered new techniques amid the mist of blood.

Yoshiteru had done his utmost to revive the fortunes of the shogunal house while living, but now he sees that as nothing but a departed dream, and cares nothing fo the fate of the Ashikaga clan. All that nagged at him was his inability to pass on the two-handed twin-sword techniques he invented spontaneously at the moment of his death--but now that he has transmitted the secret to William, he is finally at peace.

Location
- Ashikaga Yoshiteru is found in the Dual Sword Mystic Art Mission within the dojo (The Grimmest Blades). To access the boss, the player must earn 500,000 Dual Sword proficency and complete "Way of the Warrior: Veteran".
- He is also encountered in the sub mission "Marobashi" after completing "The Two Masters." He is the second boss that must be fought.

Strategy 1 (Melee)
Ashikaga Yoshiteru is a fast boss with dual katanas, however, many of his attacks can be blocked. It's easy to defeat him using block, then counter-attack when his Ki is low.A different strategy is to use the skill Mortal Flow (it is advised to have Mortal Flow II to make this faster). This tactic is very cheap since all you have to do is walk backwards until he chases you, use Mortal Flow and repeat until he dies. Keep a little bit of an eye out for your Ki and your location in the room so as not to walk into walls while backing away.

His ki depletes quickly. Block and let him hit you. When his ki drops below 40%, it's your turn to attack him. Also like every other dojo boss it helps if they are cornered.
