Build Strategy

Purpose of the build:
The goal of this build is to combine 4 piece bonuses for both The Raging Bull and Warrior of the West sets. It gives 3x damage reduction, flat life, 2x close combat damage and Tiger Sprint damage. In order to maintain B-level of Agility you should combine lightest pieces of The Raging Bull set (Head, Hands and Legs). Such set weights 29,1 so you should have at least 41,6 of allowed equipment weight.
All of this can be achieved late early to midgame.
Also this build combines a water sword and an earth spear so you have 2 elements coverage should you want to apply discord status.

How to collect the set:
You can farm the Warrior of the West set from the mission "Invitation from the Warrior of the West".
You will most likely obtain The Raging Bull's Spear and Helmet as a reward from sub missions. However, you will have to craft both hands and legs. You need a rare item "Hank of Yokai Hair" for this. It can be dropped by the 2nd boss "Hino-Enma". If you have progressed with the story a bit, in the second region there is a misison called "The Conspirators" which allows you to farm Flying Bolt enemy. I find it much more reliable source of Yokai Hair mostly because it's close to the spawn point and killing it does not end the mission.

How to play this build:
For small opponnents (human, revenants, skeletons) use spear's skill Entangle. It leaves a rather large opening but even if you get hit, thanks to your good armor the attack itself won't be interrupted. Next second you will have your opponent on the ground ready for a killing strike. This setup really shines with "Life Recovery from Killing Strike" perk on your spear. It allows you to easily complete samurai duel missions, dojo trainings as well as slay revenants.

For yokai and bosses you have a variety of options deppending on your playstyle. You can go with boring (yet deadly effective) spear pokes from mid-stance. You can try some fun high stance spear attacks like Spearfall, Windmill and Piercing Rain. Or you can master your sword skills. The choice is yours. Once you get familliar with both sword and spear you can try to apply the discord status on tougher ennemies and/or bosses. It will greatly improve your efficiency.

This is an excellent build while starting off. I was using it all the way up until I got Warrior of the East set. Do you think it's worth switching to something else as you progress or sticking with this and just forging new ones every so often?
