Increasing Heart improves your values in the following stats:
- Improves your maxiumum Ki
- Adds B+ damage to Swords
- Adds B+ damage to Bows
- Adds D+ damage to Dual Swords
- Unlocks Samurai Skill Points

Yes, as long as you keep your weight below 70%, you will roll and regen normally. As for lower than 40% I havent tried yet to see if Ki regen faster.
