Ii is a Clan in Nioh.

Clan Analysis

Based in Totoumi province (today's Western Shizuoka prefecture), the Ii clan eventually expanded their rule to include nearby Kozuke province (Gunma) and other regions. Naotora and Naomasa are among the clan's best-known leaders.

After wars and internal power struggles left them short on men, the Ii clan's base in Iinoya was threatened by the Imagawa clan. However, although a woman, Naotora proved an able leader who pulled the clan together and drove off the Imagawa with the help of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Later, her adopted son Naomasa also served Ieyasu from a young age. Outfitting his warriors in red armour, he became feared as the "Red Oni", and was eventually considered to be one of the "Four Heavenly Kings", a group of the Tokugawa clan's most trusted advisors.

The family crest is known as the "Maru ni tachibana", a tachibana plant in a circle. The design is linked to the Tachibana family, one of the most powerful families in Japan since ancient times. The tachibana is a citrus fruit like a mandarin orange and is said to be a symbol of vitality.

• The above bonuses are per piece of Red Demon Armor. Hence, having all five pieces will grant +10% Close Combat Attack and +40% Toughness. The Akaoni-no-Sankaku Spear does not count.
