Improvised Projectile is an Ninja Skill in Nioh. 

Improvised Projectile Description

• Allows you to ready 2 Improvised Projectile Scrolls. When used, you will get one shot from a ranged weapon even if you have no ammunition.

Notes

• This skill has 3 levels. Each level purchased and readied (by selecting ready jutsu at a shrine) will give the player 2 scrolls, for a maximum of 6
• The scroll actually applies the Improvised Projectile status effect to the player. When the player does not have any more basic ammunition for their ranged weapon (Arrow, Rifle Ammunition, Hand Cannon Ammunition), they will be able to fire one more time. This effect is removed when the player fires a ranged weapon's basic ammunition type when out of ammunition
• Does not grant an extra shot with special ammunition types (Hamaya Arrow, Roaring-Gun Ammunition, Explosive Rounds)
• If the player applies the scroll before firing all basic ammunition, the ammunition will stay selected even while having 0 remaining and allow the weapon to be fired one time, instead of automatically switching to the weapon's special ammunition

• If the player shoots all their basic ammunition for their ranged weapon, then applies the scroll, they will be able to switch back to the basic ammunition type (normally you would not be able to do this) and fire one time
• The effect is not locked to the weapon that was equipped when the scroll was activated. The player may switch to their other equipped ranged weapon and fire that instead. In fact, the player can switch to a completely different type from their inventory and still be able to fire one time
