Description

Pronounced "Kara-jishi" in Japanese. A brave and powerful spirit whose roar reverberates like thunder. Venerated as a holy beast that tears across the heavens and vanquishes evil, its pround figure has long been the inspiration of many a painting, and even the occasional Noh production. It is said to only follow those who are truly pure in heart and sharp in both mind and body, and in fact, there are very few figures in recorded history known to have enjoyed its protection.

How to Obtain

  • Sekigahara Region, Main Mission "Sekigahara" - Mission Level 103

Strategies and Notes

  • The Guardian Spirit Talisman effect involves summoning Kara-jishi, who will then charge up a laser. This spell does not stagger, and only works on a narrow line far and in front of you, so it is hard to hit enemies with it. Also, it does not stagger or knock down. The only good thing about it is that it inflicts the lightning debuff, but overall, it is bad
  • The Increase Attack (Skill) effect increases damage by roughly 58% to 68% in tests (depending on player / enemy equipment). It requires you to land a hit on an enemy with a learned Samurai Skill. This effects stacks with Carnage and Summer Twilight. Tested with Kara-jishi at Lvl 30.
  • Kara-Jishi is one of the three best spirits at increasing damage in general, the other two being Tengen Kujaku and Kato ( Kato only when maxed , else it is worse )

Now this spirit is completely useless. Its best perk was "Increase Attack (after Skill)", but now the duration is minimal.

This spirit along with a weapon with ''skill life drain'' and heavy armor makes you basically immortal if you have a decent control of your ki.

I can heal any damage I get while doing the Odachi Moonlight Snow combo, and because I have heavy armor and am using an Odachi, I drain the ki of everything I hit so quickly that I am also most likely to do an instant grapple after that combo, which gives invins frames, and grapple is also considered a skill.

I thinks it's like a 68% dmg buff. Fuzzy Barbarian has a video on it. I've run tests and it's a lot stronger w skills than Kato is. By a significant amount. My Kusarigama w carnage and weakness hits for about 8000 (as opposed to Katos 6500) on the big dude in the Greater Demon Hunting mission. It's an unfortunately overlooked spirit.

Can this thing be potentially strong? The spirit's attack looks slow and lacks range but I haven't played so I'm not sure. The creature is very cool though
