Kingo's Armor: Suneate Description

"Greaves made from layers of black-lacquered iron plates, fixed together with cord, and worn over footwear such as straw sandals or tabi. This Tosei-gusoku armor was worn by Kobayakawa Hideaki. "Kingo" became his pseudonym when he achieved the official rank of "Saemon no Kami". He was the nephew-in-law and for a brief time the adopted son of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, before he became a member of the Kobayakawa family. A somewhat tragic figure, at one time he possessed great power from being a relative of Hideyoshi's; however, he was pushed aside when Hideyori was born into the Toyotomi family."
