Mimics are an Enemy in Nioh. They are called Mujina so please visit that page.
They are disguised as large chests but when activated, a William doppelganger will appear. They can be interacted with via Gestures in an attempt to diffuse conflict. Their placement initially seems to be randomized.
Mimics Information
- To appease a chest mimi you must repeat the gesture they make towards you within a set amount of time. If you succeed they dissipate peacefully, leaving their loot behind. If you fail, they will attack.
- The mimic will choose from 1 of the 9 Gestures you have equipped
- To spot a mimic chest from a normal chest, mimic chests have 3 golden bars on them, while the regular chests have 2
