Mononobe Axe Description

As axe originating in the Mononobe clan, an important and powerful family of old Japan. The Mononobe clan were skilled in the supply and production of weapons, and help political sway thanks to their military and peacekeeping activities. The clan was known for manufacturing strong iron weapons by manipulating bronze in special ways. Their axes were only sharpened at the cutting edge and included a dagger-like metal projection towards the center of the shaft that served as a secondary weapon.
