Mori is a Clan in Nioh.
Clan Analysis
The Mori clan served the Saito clan in Mino province (present-day Southern Gifu prefecture) before submitting to the authority of the Oda and Toyotomi clans. Famous clan members include Mori Yoshinari and his sons Nagayoshi and Ranmaru.
Yoshinari served valiantly at Okehazama and Anegawa before meeting his doom defending the capital from a joint Asai-Asakura attack in Nobunaga's absence. His son Ranmaru was slain afterwards in the clash at Honnoji. Ranmaru's older brother Nagayoshi was known as the "Oni of Musashi" for his strength and fearlessness in battle, and when he died during the Komaki-Nagakute campaign it was with honour at the head of his troops.
The family crest, "Tsuru-maru", is a crane in a circle, a mark used by families descended from the Kawachi Genji. In ancient times, cranes (alongside turtles) were considered auspicious symbols of long life.
