The Red Oni of the Ii Walkthrough

 

This mission is a simple 1 on 1 Duel with Li Naomasa. Unlike most human fodder you face, Li will use many Spear skills at his disposal and is quite strong.

Spearfall (Spear) Strategy

Spearfall skill (for the spear) can help you a lot if you find Ii Naomasa diffcult to handle. Use the spear in high stance and spam Spearfall when your reach maximum Ki.That's because you will have enough Ki left to dodge away in case you miss. When you land a successful spearfall attack it will knock him down. Now you can do a ground finisher for massive damage. Repeat this a few times and he will be dead in no time. If you don’t have that skill you may want to return later when you’ve unlocked it. Not only is this fight easier with it but practically any human sized enemies are very weak to it.

Haze II (Sword) Strategy

Li is a human spear user. Although he likes to spam his skills, he will use regular attacks your use to seeing one Skeletons and Bandits. with a bit of practice, you can use Haze (a parry) on all of these and then use Haze II (counter stab) to deal damage. depressing on your setup this mat knock him down allowing you top perform a finisher on him. it will take 5 or 6 Haze II's with finisher depending on your weapon.
