A full walkthrough including all the items, enemies and bosses goes here. You can add links, images. and other details.  Click here to go to the Speedrun Walkthrough.

After the cutscene the mission begins in May 1600 in Dazaifu. You begin n a stone courtyard. Ahead and to the right, you'll find a corpse with Sacred Water x1. Ahead and to the left will be the mission's first Shrine. Proceed through the courtyard to find an enemy with a sword. Defeat it and ahead you will see a corpse with Spirit Stone x1 and 2 seated enemies who will rise up and attack you. Defeat them and head to the left. Read the next paragraph for an account of what's in the water, or skip it to proceed with the walkthrough.

In The Water

If you choose to or fall in the water, beneath the first bridge will be a corpse with Sacred Water x1 and Spirit Stone x1. If you advance to the wider pool area you will find a corpse along the banks with Water Amulet x2. You can get back to shore up the felled tree or backtracking around towards the first bridge and taking the sloped shore up.

On your right you can run up the tree to find a corpse with with Kayaku-dama x3. Head down the tree and make a left to the corner to find a corpse with a Spirit Stone x1.

Head back in the opposite direction and make a right across the bridge and then cross the next to reveal a yokai with an axe. Defeat it and loot the corpse for a Small Soulstone x1 and Moment Talisman x2 and climb the tree here to guide a Kodama back to a shrine. Continue following the branch to find another corpse with a Himorogi Branch x1.

Come back down and you will find a broken bridge and an enemy tossing explosives at you. Head right along the bank and to the left you'll see a tree that gives you an option to knock down which will set it into the water and provide a way out if you fall in. Keep heading in the direction you were going in and head left into the next area. Be careful as 2 dealy and fast ninjas will attack you. Try and take them on one at a time as they can overwhelm you.

Inside the house here is another ninja in waiting. Defeat it and loot the chest in here. Outside the house there is a tree up against the wall where you will find a Kodama. In front of the house is a corpse with a Spirit Stone x1.

Progress ahead to the area with the houses. On the railing behind the first house you'll find an enemy and a corpse with a Travel Amulet x1.

In this courtyard area several yokai patrolling the area that will attack you. You can investigate the homes here. One has a corpse at its base with Brawler Suneate. Another corpse behind a home has Stone x3, another with Spirit Stone x2. Keep exploring the area for another Kodama by a small cage like structure. Nearby is a corpse with a Sacred Water x1. Continue exploring this adjacent area to find an eye yokai. Defeat it before it transforms and find a double door you can open to unlock a shortcut to the beginning. Be mindful of the yokai crouched over a corpse. Make your way back to the large courtyard area. There is a large double door here. Before opening it head to its left to find an area to the right with an enemy behind a home and a chest and a corpse. Make your way back to the double doors and open it to face your next challenge.

Boss Fight: Nue

Defeat Nue and open the doors to witness a strange play and speak to Fuku. She will give you the Gesture "Sorry" which you can use with her familiar to make it happy. She'll also clue you in to how you can use gestures in the future with yokai. To the left you'll find a chest with Sacred Water x1.

Open the doors but before stepping on the elevator head to the right and find a Kodama by the box. Then step on the pressure plate to take the elevator down.

At the bottom proceed ahead to find a Shrine to the left. The double doors ahead and held shut by a power.

Head left through the doorway and head up the stairs to come to a chamber with several enemies. The one furthest from you will fire flaming arrows. Lure the nearer ones into the walkway and then take out the arrow. Progress through and make your first left into another room. Advance through to the next room which you can enter to from the left or right. If you head left a large oni yokai will be there. On the right will be a crawling yokai you can attack from the back and then get the jump on the oni.

In the next section of this room you will find a Kodama. Progress on and enter the room to the right. An enemy on a platform above will be shooting flaming arrows on you. In this room you'll also find a stone warrior. It is powerful but slower and attacks mostly in front of it, so avoid its attacks and get behind it. Defeat it and enter the next room on this same level (don't head up the short stairs just yet) to find a corpse with Spirit Stone x3 and a large chest.

Head down the left passage and beware of the patrolling yokai and stay to the left into the next room to find a crawling yokai standiing over a corpse. Loot the corpse for Arrow x3.

Make your way back to the room where you encountered the stone warrior and now head up the short stairs and follow the passage. In the next chamber you will find a floating oni head in front of a chest. Take out the head and loot the chest. From here you can land a jump attack on the enemy below or head down the stairs to the left from where you just entered to find a Shrine. If you land the jump attack on the enemy or enter from the Shrine area, directly ahead is a chest you can loot. Walk ahead to find a stone warrior animate on your right. Defeat it and find a Kodama just behind it to the left. Head up the short stairs here to find a crawling yokai. On this level you can loot a corpse for Roaring-Gun Ammunition x3.

Take the immediate left staircase down to an area of stone soldiers and one on your left will animate. There is also an flame arrow firing enemy here so be mindful.

In a nook in this room you will find a stone warrior behind some inanimate ones and a corpse with Young Ninja's Locks x1 and Shinobi Box x1.

Head up the short stairs where the flaming arrow enemy is/was to find a double door held shut by some power. Head right up the stairs to find a corpse with Kayaku-Dama x3. Head back down to the double doors and now take the opposite way up the stairs and enter the passage to the right and take the stairs down to the next room. Head left along the wall and approach the wall section towards the middle. You will be prompted to remove the talisman. Remove it to reveal a false wall yokai which also unlocks a shortcut. Turn back and head through the doorway into the next room to find a Hot Spring where you can rejuvenate what ails you.

Leave the spring and go through the shortcut you revealed and keep walking straight through the large room and into the next. Head right to go up the stairwell to find an enemy with a spear. Defeat it and you can either head left or drop down to the next room where on oni yokai lurks. If you drop down, take out the oni and loot the corpse for Travel Amulet x1. If you don't want to drop down you can head left to the next chamber and take the stairs down.

To your right the stone warrior on the left is animate, so you can snipe it for free damage. Take it out and take the passage to its left to find another stone warrior on the left and right just up the few steps. Don't be a hero and take them out 1 at a time, no one's gonna truely be impressed if you can take them both out at once. A chest is directly ahead in the nook.

Proceed to the next room to find a floating demon head. Kill it and proceed through the next passageway. A room to your left contains an axe wielding enemy. Straight ahead from where you entered, mind the pressure plate in the doorway which will release bolts. In this next room you will find 3 chests to loot. One may be a mimic so beware. Using the Leave it to Me Gesture could appease it allowing you to learn the Overjoyed gesture.

Head back into the room you came from and head right to head down the stairs and into the next chamber to find a patrolling enemy with an axe. Down the left passageway here you will find a turtle like enemy with a glowing shell. It can drop a Kappa Shell x1. Beyond to the right is a corpse you can loot for Arrow x5.

At the top of the stairwell you will find a Lantern you can approach with the prompt Shade Eyes. Interact with it to release the power on the doors. Drop down here to find a Shrine next to a double door. Open the doors and proceed through. Drop down to the next room and then proceed ahead through the next set of doors to enter the large central chamber. Approach the shut doors in this large central chamber and open them. Drop down to find a Shrine and the NPC, Tachibana Ginchiyo. Speak to her and you will place your hands on the lanterns together. Open the door to find a spear wielding enemy to the left. Tachinbana will accompany you during this portion and help you clear the room of enemies. When you approach the mist you will reveal a powerful yokai. Defeat it and loot a corpse here for Summoner's Candle x1.

Proceed ahead and head down the stairs to find another set of lanterns and a shut door. Interact with them together and open the door. Proceed to trigger a cutscene and take on the mission's boss.

Boss Fight: Tachibana Muneshige

Defeat him and a series of cutscenes will play and you'll be whisked away to a new location.

I used the company of Tachinbana to hoard vast amounts of loot from fighting revenents in bloody graves. Extremely effective and after about 2 hours of revenet slaying I am top to tow with purple Warrior of the West attire and weapons. Six out of seven, only missing the bow.

I swear whoever did the Nioh page walkthroughs is mildly autistic... they are detailed in some areas, and just trail off to vague nothingness in others. Why the ***** even have this half assed wiki? I find myself shutting it off half the time as trying to follow this***** is harder than just finding the secrets on my own. It’s a shame as this has been my go to site for dark souls but it clearly misses with Nioh.

There's no specific emote for the Overjoyed as a reward. You have to reciprocate what it does, in order to get it, not just 'Leave it to Me'.

Before heading to the boss, revisit all of the doors in the area that were locked. The lantern opens ALL doors, not just the doors to the boss. There's a number of chests with good gear behind the other doors.
