The Trail of the Master Walkthrough

Head straight and find a Shrine on the left. The door to the right will be locked for now. Head left and open the door on the left and walk through the room to the next to find 2 Oni-Bi and a dweller that emerges from the center Hot Spring. Head up the stairs out of the room and go left. Take this balcony ledge to the other side and enter the open doorway. Walk through the room and enter the next to find a Yoki in the pool. Kill it to obtain Wood Tile: "I". These are 2 Hot Springs. Head into the next room and mind the ninja. Exit the door on the right. 

Exit to the ledge area again and make your way to the other side and head up the spiral steps. Exit through the doorway and on your left you will reveal a shadow realm human fighter. Defeat him and proceed down the balcony. Break a doorway and enter the room and walk through it to come to a room with more Hot Springs. A lesser Umi-Bozu will leap from the first. Defeat it. In the next room you will find another hot spring with a shadow realm Onyudo. Kill it to get Wood Tile: "Ro". 

Exit through the doorway to get back to the balcony and head right to find a dweller climb up the ledge on your left. Take it out and keep taking the balcony around to come to an elevator. A yokai warrior will pop up. Defeat it. Before taking the elevator down you can break the thin doors of the doors on the right ahead to find yokai in the rooms. The second room is full of yokai and has a Kodama in the corner after you clear out some furniture.

You can either take the elevator down or drop down a series of beams for loot along the way including a corpse with Seki Kanenori Dual Uchigatana. If you drop down you'll find a Kodama on top of a bookshelf up against the wall. 

To find the next Kodama, you'll want to get back to the top and drop down the beams to come to one that you can walk through a hole in the wall to another room. You'll see a Kodama on top of a bookcase here, you'll have to drop down to the bookshelf on the other side of the room and walk around the shelves to get to it. Drop down to the floor to find a corpse with Medicine Case and Hyottoko Mask x1. Exit the room and come to the Shrine. Head right until you come to the spiral stairs up on the right. Before going up the stairs head to their left and find the final Kodama by the clay pots. Head back up the stairs and from here you can drop down to the balcony below (trap door). Head past the shrine and enter the doorway on your left to come to a hot spring with 2 Oni-Bi and a large Dweller. Defeat them and interact with the Nurikabe. Find another hot spring and a large chest here with Ginshu Hand Cannon. 

Get back up to the elevator and take it down, but before it reaches the bottom, step onto the last beam as you approach it and walk across to the corpse and find Wood Tile: "Ha". Drop down to the bottom floor.

At the bottom you'll find a square Hot Spring where a Dweller mob will emerge. Defeat it and approach the double door. Unless you have collected the 3 tiles it will be locked. With the 3 tiles in tow, open the door and step into the large room to square off against a Raven Tengu and a Flying Bolt. Defeat them to obtain the Back Room Key. Open the sliding double doors with the key and open the cell door to find the man Tome was worried about. Speak to him to complete the mission. You can find him afterwards at the Blacksmith.
