Oda is a Clan in Nioh.
Clan Analysis
After conquering all of Owari province (now Aichi prefecture), the Oda clan dominated the Tokai and Kinki regions of central Japan. Under Oda Nobunaga's leadership, it thrived in the chaos of the Warring States period and became one of the most powerful clans in the country.
Nobunaga was feared by other feudal lords for his naked ambition and brutal tactics and made many enemies both within and outside the clan. He was finally betrayed and murdered by his close confidant Akechi Mitsuhide, after which his key advisors were absorbed into the Toyotomi clan and others, and the Oda clan's power withered as suddenly as it had grown.
The family crest, known as the "Oda-mokko", Oda Gourd, is said to represent a gourd in cross-section. Because it also resembles a bird's nest with eggs, it was considered a symbol of lasting family prosperity.
