The Return of the Gourd Walkthrough

 This is a Wave Mission that finishes off with a very Tough fight between the Obsidian Samurai and a powered up Oda Nobunanga.

Wave 1

First a Skeleton rifleman and a Skeleton Warrior will spawn next to the two statues. Defeating one fo them or after a certain amount of time passes a weak Spear reverent will spawn. Focus on the Warrior first, kill him uickly then quickly dispatch the rifle man before you get harrassed by the Revenant that follows.

Wave 2

this time Two revenants immediately spawn. A small Spear one and a bigger one. kill the small one quickly then finished off the bigger one. they both have ranged weapons.

Wave 3

Another waves of revenants but these are significantly more bulky. a Kurisagama and Cannon wielding Revenant will spawn on the corner and another bulky Axe wielding Revenant will spawn near the door you spawned in. kill either one and you will be joined with a tough dual sword wielding Revenant.
They have a high Toughness stat even by WotS standards, so breaking their Ki gauge will be incredibly difficult and they have plenty of Health. There is a longer break between this wave and the final Boss fight of the Mission.

Boss Fight: Oda and Obsidian

Oda will spawn in first but then is immediately followed up by Obsidian a few moments later. Oda will likely dash to you and start harassing you while Obsidian starts buffing himself. Obsidian despite his size is actually squishier and easier to defeat compared to Oda. Obsidian also tends to leave his back exposed making it far easier to whittle him down  than Oda despite Odas very punishing attacks and hitboxes. By the time Obsidian Enters living weapon Oda would have already done so 20+ times. This means Obsidian will be vulnerable to skills such as Haze, Tempest, the Shrike and Body Swap for the Majority of the battle. Focusing on Oda tends to get you cornered by Obsidian who hits like a truck and Oda's stunlocking Living Weapon attacks. Do not let that happen. Oda and Obsidian move at different speed, with Oda being much much faster. if you need space sprint away but never in a straight line or Oda will catch you, stun you and let Obsidian catch up and finish you off.

With Obsidian out of the picture Oda becomes significantly less threatening (but still quite dangerous), he will continue to spam Living Weapon like usual.

As this is a Wave-Boss mission, beating this quickly depends solely on the players Gear and Skill. Generally once players have access to WotD's Level 200+20 gear it becomes quite easy to earn the "Oda Army Quick Conquerer"  title.
