Raishodo Description
"A bow believed to be used by Minamoto—no—Yorimasa in defeating a nue, a yokai with the face of a monkey, legs of a tiger, and tail of a snake, and whose eerie cries terrorized the capital every night. Yorimasa was commanded to vanquish the nue, and was able to do so with great ease wielding this bow. He was rewarded for his efforts with "Shishi—Oh," a famous katana. This bow is said to have belonged to Yoyuki, the famed archer of the Chu state during the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history, who then passed it on to his daughter. She later bestowed the bow to the slayer of the Shuten Doji and the Tsuchi—gumo, Minamoto—no—Yorimitsu, whose descendant Yorimasa eventually came into possession of it."
