Hozoin Inei is a Boss in Nioh.
Hozoin In'ei was a monk at Hozoin, an institution attached to Kofukuji temple in Yamato province (present-day Nara prefecture). He was versed in the Katori Shinto school of battle arts, and at the recommendation of Yagyu Sekishusai also studied Shinkage swordmanship under Kamiizuna Nobutsuna. One day during training he was inspired by the reflection of the crescent moon in a pond to found the Hozoin school of spearfighting using a spear with a crossbar, a revolutionary advance on the plain spears that had been used in war up until then.
Location
- Hozoin Inei is found in the Spear Mystic Art Mission within the dojo (Steel Across Steel). To access the boss, the player must have at least 500000 proficiency with the spear as well as complete the dojo mission "The Way of the Warrior: Veteran".
- He is also encountered in the sub mission "The Two Masters" in the Tokai region after completing the main story. In this mission, he fights alongside Yagyu Sekishusai.
- He is also encountered in the sub mission "Marobashi" in the Tokai region after completing "The Two Masters" He is the third boss that must be fought.
