Special Effects are bonuses that can be applied to Weapons, Armor, and Accessories. On armor, there are Core Stat requirements that must be met before the effect will be activated. Additionally, Guardian Spirits also have requirements to activate their effects. Equipment has random effects but can be changed through Reforging. Effects grow stronger as Familiarity with a weapon or armor increases. Equipment has more effects depending on its Rarity, starting at 1 and increasing by 1 additional effect per rarity tier. Common has 1, Uncommon has 2, Rare has 3, Exotic has 4, and Divine has 5. (NEED INFO ON Ethereal)

Some effects are special. They can be part of the equipment itself, such as Damage Reduction on armor. They cannot be Reforged and are non-transferrable through Soul Matching. These are represented by a hexagonal symbol next to the effect

Some effects can be transferred, these are represented by a symbol of 2 rectangles with a triangle in between them. To transfer the effect, the weapon with the effect must have maximum Familiarity. This effect will overwrite the transferrable effect on the new piece of equipment. If the new equipment does not have a transferrable effect, it will simply add it (hint, hint)

Guardian Spirit effects are fixed and cannot be changed. Accessories cannot be reforged, you must find a new accessory if you are looking for specific effects

Effects are separated into several groups or "pools". All pools are exclusive, except for 1 non-exclusive pool. That means only 1 effect from each separate pool can appear on a piece of equipment, even when Soul Matching. Multiple, or even all, effects on a piece of equipment can be from the non-exclusive pool
