Accessories in Nioh provide the player with passive bonuses to attack, defense, drop rates, etc.
They vary in quality and drop randomly from enemies, bosses and inspected corpses. You can equip two accessories. The most important trait of an accessory is its Rarity, which adds more attributes. An accessory's level determines its base defence value. You cannot Soul Match Accessories, nor can you Reforge their attributes. Ethereal Accessories can have more powerful traits than other accessories. Accessories come in different types, which gives them a bit of personality, but ultimately changes little in terms of what attributes they carry.
Omamori Charms are accessories with a defensive orientation, their inherent traits are:
- VS Yokai Realm (White)
- VS Fire (Orange)
- VS Lightning (Yellow)
- VS Water (Blue)
- VS Wind (Green)
- VS Earth (Pink)
- VS Poison (Dark Green)
- VS Paralysis (Purple)
Prayer Beads offer combat oriented buffs which help with fighting Yokai, their inherent traits are:
- Yokai Damage Reduction (Blue)
- Yokai Close Combat Damage (Yellow)
- Stealth For Yokai (White)
Medicine Cases help with healing and damage reduction, their inherent traits are:
- Recurrent Damage From Poison (lowered) (Black)
- Unlimited Elixir (chance) (Brown)
- Elixir Effect On Life Recovery (Red)
Magatamas offer buffs that involve Amrita, their inherent trait are:
- Amrita Earned From People (Green)
- Amrita Earned From Yokai (Orange)
- Amrita Gauge Addition (White)
Fans offer buffs that improve the drop rates of items, their inherent traits are:
- Human Item Drop Rate (White)
- Yokai Item Drop Rate (Orange)
- Luck Increased (Black)
The Yasakani Magatama is a special accessory that lowers the requirements of Set Bonuses by 1.

I put on the ones that add elemental damage but don't see any increase in damage when I attack. Anyone else seeing this?
