Braided Straw Kabuto Description

"This 'kwari-kabuto' - a helmet adorned with fantastical designs - was worn by Sengoku Hidehisa who served Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The design uses straw ropes women in an intricate pattern. The side crest of gold gern leaves that weap around the skullcap have been added to make the helmet appear larger, rather thna make it more pleasing to the eye. Ever since Hidehisa began serving Hideyoshi on Oda Nobunaga's orders, he distinguished himself in battle time and again, from the Battle of Anegawa to the Siege of Odawara. It is unknown in exactly which battle this helmet was used."
