"This helm is said have belonged to Henry VIII, former King of England and father of Elizabeth I, and was presented to him by the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I as a wedding gift. The master armorer Konrad Seusenhofer is thought to have made this helm from lightweight steel that offered excellent protection from bullets. The bizarre decorations offer no defensive merits, but may hold a hidden message known only to King Henry and Maximilian. Reproductions of this helmet were know to exist in England, and some speculate that one of these was traded to a merchant before it eventually wound up in Japan."
