Genius Strategist's Hachimaki Description
"A headband following a simple design made from hemp, its dark color goes a long way to disguising the dirt is accumulates during long pilgrimages. The hachimaki originated from the ribbons used to secure helmets once they had been placed over the eboshi (conical hat). Later they were to be used to increase the wearer's focus and channel their ki. This hachimaki contains a metal plate that offers protection for the forehead. This clothing was worn by the great tactician of Higo province. Marume Nagayoshi, Nagayoshi was tutored by Kamiizumi Nobutsuna in the Shinkage style of swords figting. He was employed as a tutor by the Sagara family, but became a ronin after being defeated by the Shimaqzu clan. After travelling the length and breath of Kyushu, he conceived the Taisha school of tactics and became known as a genius strategist."
