Sozasa Monji Description

"A tachi forged by Saemon Saburo Yasuyoshi, a swordsmith from Chikuzen province. The sword is known for losing its inscription of the character "sa" (appearing in "Soza-SA" and "SA-emon") when it was shortened. It was in Miyoshi Sozasa's possession for a time, before it passed to the Takeda clan and then Imagawa Yoshimoto, becoming his favored sword. It found its way to Oda Nobunaga after his victory over Yoshimoto in the Battle of Okehazama. Nobunaga gave the sword a new inscription to commemorate this triumph, and it became his most treasured blade. Sozasa Monji is also known as "Tenkatori-no-Katana", or "The Ruler's Katana.""
