Nurarihyon is a Guardian Spirit of Date Masamune, previously owned by Kojuro Kagetsuna.
Guardian Spirits can be chosen to provide the player with certain benefits.
Activate Living Weapon by pressing △ + O (B + Y on Xbox/Steam controller) when the Amrita Gauge is full.
In Japanese lore, the Nurarihyon takes the shape of an old man with a short stature, an oddly elongated head, and often elegant clothing. This rather benign image belies its true nature as an incredibly powerful yokai, and is even called "the Supreme Commander of All Monsters". Its presence is such that all yokai listen to the Nurarihyon's every word with respect and treat him has their leader. This effect even extends to humans, as when a Nurarihyon slips into a busy household to indulge himself on food and drink, the humans are very much unable to stop him as they treat him as though he is the master of the house.

- The Guardian Spirit Talisman effect involves Nurarihyon summoning 3 water puddles, which deal continuous elemental damage. This spell can deal vey good damage if you force the enemy into the puddles.
- Nurarihyon is designed to make the most out of a Water oriented build, while also raising Amrita gains.

|Action||Rate at which the Living Weapon gauge is reduced when you consume Ki while using the Living Weapon. The higher it is, the more you can use it.|
|Recovery||Rate at which the Living Weapon gauge recovers when you absorb Amrita while using a Living Weapon.|
|Tenacity||The effectiveness of a Living Weapon that is active when your Life is under a certain level.|
|Amrita Gauge Rate||The rate at which you gain Amrita. The higher it is, the qicker the gauge fills. When the Amrita gauge hits maximum, you can invoke a Living Weapon.|
