Strategy 1 (Melee)
It is hard to deal with these two in melee, because they are pressuring you equally. Katakura Shigenaga will throw different projectiles at you. There's 3 types of projectiles he throws: explosives, paralysing cloud and slowing spikes. After losing a certain amount of health, Date Shigezane will activate his Living Weapon and Katakura Shigenaga will buff himself. Easiest way to deal with them is to bring a lot of spirit stones with you and use them in order to fill Living Weapon and activate it. Just step back, use enough spirit stones to activate your Living Weapon and attack them. Try to always move around and don't get too greedy. Use "hit and run" tactic. Once you defeat one of them it won't be hard to deal with the other.
